Mombasa is Kenya’s main tourist destination. It is located on the Eastern coastline of Kenya bordering the Indian Ocean which has made it a popular destination for its beaches. Mombasa offers diverse marine life, world-class hotels and a friendly atmosphere. There is a tropical climate all year; it is a great destination filled with activities for all ages. Mombasa was ruled by the Portuguese, Arabs and British and originated back in the 16th century. Mombasa’s culture today still exhibits that of its past. Historical ruins like Forte Jesus de Mombaça (AKA Fort Jesus), an historic Portugese fort, and the Old Town are attractions influenced by Mombasa’s trade culture, with many examples of Portuguese and Islamic architecture.

DAY 1: Nairobi – Mombasa

Picked from Nairobi’s Hotel and transferd to Syokimau Train Turminus (Nairobi) for your Morning Train and drive towards Mombasa town. arriving in the afternoon, you will be picked and transferd to your Hotel. Enjoy your dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: Mombasa

After breakfast, enjoy the facilities in the resort in the morning such as snorkeling, sun bathing, swimming, boat rides, surfing etc then after lunch will continue relaxing at the resort followed by dinner and overnight at Hotel/Resort.

DAY 3: Visit to Shimba Hills National Park

After breakfast, drive to Likoni where you will cross the Likoni channel by ferry to get to the mainland, South Coast. The short drive takes you through cashew nuts and palm tree plantations and also gives you an insight into the lifestyle of the local people. Begin game viewing as soon as you enter Shimba Hills National Reserve where you will see some wildlife among them elephants, various antelopes including the rare and endangered sable and roan antelopes. Lunch will be had at the Shimba lodge the only tree hotel at the coast. Shimba Hills Lodge enjoys great views and overlooks a waterhole where you can see wildlife congregating as well as experience the beautiful bird life. Enjoy your dinner and overnight at Shimba Hills Lodge.

DAY 4: Shimba Hills - Mombasa

After breakfast checkout and drive back to Mombasa Island enjoy a morning/afternoon visit to various attractions at the coast including Fort, Jesus at the old town of Mombasa, then to Haller. Have lunch before returning to the hotel for relaxation. spend the rest of the day at own leisure.

Breakfast at the hotel,relax and later check out at the hotel for the SGR terminus.
